Daily news
The Chosun Ilbo undoubtedly has the best English language website of the daily papers. No annoying pop-ups, clean design, and links to unusual or popular stories down the right hand side of the page. It’s the site I visit first when I do my lunchtime surfing. Other sites are:
Korea Times | Korea Herald | Donga Ilbo | Seoul Times | JoongAng Daily | The Hankyoreh
Once you get past all the pop-ups, the JoongAng probably has the best business coverage. The Hankyoreh is probably the least conservative of the above papers and also has the advantage of being even less cluttered than the Chosun. There’s also
OhmyNews - a website where the stories are written by “citizen journalists” - anyone can contribute.
Southkoreanews.net is a useful news aggregator, while Asia Times has good Korean coverage, and doesn’t have all the annoying graphics which plague the Korean newspapers. LKL’s own Korean NewsWire service subscribes to the SouthKoreaNews RSS feed, as well as some other news websites.
KBS has an English language news service which is more user-friendly than most of the newspaper websites.
And finally, the Yonhap News agency.
Weekly / monthly / quarterly journals

CanKor is a weekly e-clipping service devoted to news and analyses of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Blogs
For a list of Korean-related blogs written in English, of which there is a large number, visit http://korea.banoffeepie.com/ and explore at your leisure. Of these bloggers, possibly the Flying Yangban, the Marmot and Oranckay are the most established. Also check out Max Christian’s site, for a view from London. It has some interesting observations on Korea & Japan.
